Eclipse, by Stephenie Meyer (Romance and Fantasy) Eclipse is part of the Twilight series. Edward (the Vampire) has come back and Bella (his love) wants to become a vampire. Bella wants to become a vampire after her and Edward’s senior graduation. There is a vampire whose name is Victoria. (If you read Twilight, you will remember her.) She has come to kill Bella because Edward killed her mate so she thinks she will get even by killing Edward’s mate (Bella). Jacob and Edward both want to help save her. This is a problem because Jacob is a werewolf and werewolves and vampires hate each other. During this entire frightening time Edward and Bella are trying to have an agreement about what do about the whole vampire situation and what is going to happen afterward.
I really like this book a lot because it is truly scary while being affectionate. It has a more dangerous feeling than other Twilight books and has some sexual parts but otherwise it is amazing. If you like fantasy books or romance books you would really like this series. I also recommend Breaking Dawn, New Moon, Twilight and Harry Potter.

Like Water For Chocolate, Laura Esquivel, (Magical Realism) NOTE: THIS BOOK HAS SEXUAL CONTENT The 12 chapters, each titled a specific month of the year, all start with a recipe of a Mexican delicacy. Esquivel weaves in the story of Tita and her family within the chapters. Tita is the youngest of her family and spends most her time in the kitchen. Her mother, Mama Elena, left Tita in the care of the live-in nurse, Nacha, for her childhood. Nacha taught Tita to cook, and feel, and so many other things. As Tita grew older, she developed a natural flare with food and proved to be an extraordinary chef. She was so extraordinary that her food possessed magical powers to fill those who ate it with the emotion Tita felt as she was cooking it. Mama Elena, a very cold, strict, and cruel woman, demanded that Tita keep to the family code: because she was the youngest child, the family tradition stated that she could never marry and must care for Mama Elena until the day she died. At the age of fifteen, Tita first felt the pain of the burden the tradition put on her: she and a boy named Pedro fell in love. When Pedro came to ask Elena for Tita’s hand in marriage, Elena instead offered her oldest daughter Rosaria, a girl very similar to Mama Elena. Pedro sadly accepted the offer, claiming that his only reason in doing so was to be closer to Tita. The rest of the book tells of their traumatic struggle to find a way to be together. The novel is a passionate tale of two things one cannot live without: powerful food and powerful love and ends in a emotional surprise of passion that will haunt your memory. In my opinion, this book is as delicious as the recipes in it. The descriptions of the events in the book are truly moving. While reading I felt like I shared the same powerful emotions as the characters. The suspenseful organization of the book kept me from being able to put it down, and, in addition, I thought this was a phenomenal book and would highly recommend it to everyone. Sarah K.
New Moon, by Stephanie Meyer (Romance and Fantasy) This book is a sequel to Twilight. Edward, who is Bella’s love and a vampire, has just gone off and left Bella. Bella's dad has an old friend Billy who has a son named Jacob. Jacob becomes really good friends with Bella when Edward leaves her. Last time Bella and Jacob saw each other he told her about his hobby of making cars and fixing vehicles. Bella is so depressed that she wants to carry out dangerous activities. Therefore, she buys two motorcycles and brings them to Jacob because they are not working and she wants to start riding them. She begins spending all her time with Jacob but something suddenly changes inside of him and he becomes strangely more muscular and can’t spend time with her. After he started to spend time with her again she jumped off a cliff into a lake, because she was trying to do cliff jumping and that's when the adventures begin.................... I really enjoyed this book. It was really interesting from the first word to the last word. I didn't want to put the book down any time I was reading it. I recommend Twilight, Eclipse, and Breaking dawn. All of the books are part of the same series, the Twilight series. Tali G
Reincarnation, by Suzanne Weyn
This book doesn’t take place in just one time period and in one place, it goes through history! It starts out during the time of cavemen when two people from different tribes meet. They start to fight over a green stone and it leads to their death. Afterwards they are reborn again in Egypt as slave and house singer. When they lay eyes on each other they instantly recognize the other person. They fall in love but something happens and they are broken apart. This continues throughout history and through their other lives, and sometimes they bring things with them from past lives. It could be a talent, or an injury. But they always bring two things with them to every new life: One is the love they have for each other when they meet, and the other is a mysterious green stone that appears in different forms almost every time. I would give this book a four-and-a-half because I thought it had an interesting story line and it keeps the reader interested, but sometimes it can be a little confusing.

Shadowland, By Alyson Noel (Fantasy and Romance)
Shadowland is an amazing addition to Alyson Noel's Immortals Series. Her third book, Shadowland, revolves around two main characters, Ever and Damen. Ever was never normal really, and now she enters a magical world where "normal" no longer applies to anything. Ever lost her mother, father, sister, and dog, Buttercup, in a tragic car accident. Ever died as well. But Damen, Ever's new, glorious boyfriend, brought her back with his immortal magic. Ever wakes to her new paranormal life. She sees auras and ghosts, has magic abilities, and can hear thoughts of anyone around her. But that isn't good enough when Roman, an immortal rogue from Damen's dark past, walks into their lives and causes nothing but trouble and havoc. After saving a dying, poisoned Damen, Ever realizes the aftereffects of the whole battle. Damen and she can never be together due to Roman's trickery. Damen is now under a curse and if Ever and he were to ever be together, or share any physical contact such as merely holding hands, Damen would die. When Damen and Ever travel to the mystical Summerland in hopes of a way to reverse the curse, they run into even more bad news: what awaits an immortal soul if it should ever die, a fate worse than Hell. Damen now focuses on trying to find a different option while Ever engulfs herself in magic and gets help from a mysterious boy named Jude, who wields similar magical powers. Damen pulls away from Ever against her wishes in order to help, and the more distant he is, the stronger the sparks are between Ever and Jude. Now she must decide: Damen is one she cannot bear to part with, but the secrets behind her and Jude's far pasts are too mysterious to ignore, and love is not even a trusted ally anymore. Noel's enchanting book of jaw-dropping twists and turns results in my five star rating. I highly recommend this book for any reader looking to be absorbed in a wonderful story.

Sundays at Tiffany’s, by James Patterson
Sundays at Tiffany’s, by James Patterson, follows Jane from the time she is eight years old until adulthood. Fatherless and neglected by her mother, Jane finds comfort in her imaginary friend, Michael. When she turns nine years old, Michael leaves Jane. Twenty-three years later, Jane, is professionally successful but extremely lonely. Almost every day she thinks of her lost friendship with Michael and wishes he would reappear. Will she find happiness? Will the ending be predictable and sappy? The story is romantic and sweet, like the Twilight series, by Stephenie Meyer. It also has some sexual content, but does not go into too much detail. The simple and plain writing isn’t very good. Additionally, the story is corny and cheesy. Yet, I enjoyed every minute of the romantic Sundays at Tiffany’s.

Twilight, by Stephenie Meyers Twilight is a thrilling journey through the town of Forks, Washington. Isabella Swan moved there to live with her father Charlie, whom she rarely sees. Her mother and father are divorced so it was very difficult for her to see both parents equally since they do live quite some distance from each other. As she comes to her new school in Forks she meets some really nice friends and some mysterious ones, including the Cullen family. The Cullen family is strange and different. They are a very hard family to understand. They barely eat, they always look pale, they are always cold, their eyes change colors, and Edward (one of the Cullens) always looks at Bella like she is different from others. In the beginning of the book, Bella was bewildered with Edward and always wondered about him. Towards the middle, Edward is more daring and starts to talk to her and begins conversations, until Bella realizes something is not right. He is not normal and the same as everyone else, he is something different. As they get closer and closer to each other Bella realizes he is more than just a confusing nice guy but also a vampire! In the course of this book Bella falls in love with Edward while she is also a little bit scared of him. Throughout this book you are introduced to characters such as the Cullen family, the Nomads, and more. I liked this book because it is very adventurous and mysterious. You never know what might happen next. Mel V.
Twilight, by Stephenie Meyers
OK, if you haven’t read Twilight, by Stephanie Meyers, yet, you are really missing out. This book is about a girl named Bella and a vampire named Edward. Bella just moved in with her dad in a town called Forks, in Washington. Edward is a vampire in disguise, but he is a good vampire; he tries not to, well, eat human blood. He and his “siblings” pretend that they are normal high school students. One day, Bella walks into her class and Edward is there. For some reason, her blood is a lot more appealing to him than any other person’s. It takes every ounce of self restraint he has not to kill Bella. Somehow, the two fall in love, and the story unfurls from there. Twilight is a positively incredible book, “The new Harry Potter” some people say. Even if you don’t like that kind of book, I can promise that you will LOVE Twilight!!!!!
